Welham Girls' School lift hockey title

DEHRADUN: Welham Girls’ School clinched the trophy of the 6th Welham Girls’ School Invitational Hockey Tournament defeating Mahadevi Kanya Pathshala 5-0 in the final match played here on Saturday.

Welham Girls’ School clinched the trophy of the 6th Welham Girls’ School Invitational Hockey Tournament defeating Mahadevi Kanya Pathshala 5-0 in the final match played here on Saturday.

In the one-sided match, Shruti Kaul and Prerna Kejriwal scored two goals each, whereas Srishti Bansal scored one goal for the winning team.

Jyotsna Brar, principal of Welham Girls’ School, was the chief guest on the occasion. She gave away the prizes to the players. Prerna got the Most Valuable Player award, whereas Preksha and Shruti got the Best Goalkeeper and Best Forward awards, respectively.
