Gurgaon, November 24

Taking an umbrage to actor Aamir Khan’s recent remarks on rising intolerance in the country, Union Minister of State for Planning and Defence and Gurgaon MLA Rao Inderjit Singh took to the social media expressing his angst on the “irresponsible choice of words” by the actor to voice his opinion.

Insisting that writers, artists or actors affect the masses he said they should be extra cautious while issuing any statements.

“What purpose does it serve by giving undue importance to superficial tolerant-intolerant debate? We should absolutely ignore ridiculous opinions of a few people who are just indulging in a futile narrative of emergency-like situation,” read his tweets.
