Visually-impaired students seek laptops, pocket money

Dehradun, February 19

Students of the National Institute for Visually Handicapped (NIVH) held a demonstration in support of their demands of laptops and pocket money at the institute here on Friday.

The students gathered at the institute and raised slogans against the government. They said several memorandums of demands had been submitted to the management, but to no avail.

They boycotted classes and locked doors of the institute.

The protesters threatened to start a fast if the management does not accede to their demands. —TNS
