Uttaranchal University prof Suman Vij gets Bharat Jyoti Award

Suman Vij, Assistant Professor, Uttaranchal University, Dehradun, has been conferred with the prestigious Bharat Jyoti Award for her meritorious service, outstanding performance and remarkable role in the field of education by the India International Friendship Society.

Dr Bhishma Narain Singh, former Governor of Tamil Nadu and Assam, gave away the award and a certificate to Suman at a seminar on economic growth and national integration held at the India International Center, New Delhi, on June 9. Suman is the only person from Uttarakhand to get the award this year. She is also the recipient of the National Bravery Award and the international award from the Republic of Korea.
