An elated Mohit said his dream had finally come true.

Jaspreet Singh, who was among the recruits, is an MSc in information technology (IT).  Several other recruits had done MBA, BCA and BBA.  Forty-six recruits were Class XII pass out, the minimum qualification for getting recruited as a constable in the Chandigarh Police.  Of the 96 recruits, 42 are females. Police officials said the constables had been given exposure to criminal law, medical jurisprudence and human rights. They had also been imparted training in mob control and weapon handling.
