UPES law teacher gets award

DEHRADUN: Professor Sampath Kumar, a senior teacher at College of Legal Studies of the University of Petroleum and Energy Studies (UPES), has been felicitated with the ‘Best Professor in Law’ national award- 2016 at the 24th Dewang Mehta National Education Awards held at Mumbai recently.

Professor Sampath Kumar, a senior teacher at College of Legal Studies of the University of Petroleum and Energy Studies (UPES), has been felicitated with the ‘Best Professor in Law’ national award- 2016 at the 24th Dewang Mehta National Education Awards held at Mumbai recently.

The Dewang Mehta Annual Awards recognise talent and leadership among the educational institutes across India in diverse disciplines and are presented in the memory of Late Dewang Mehta, under the patronage of Harish Mehta, Chairman and Managing Director, Onward Technologies Pvt Ltd.

Arun Dhand, director of media affairs, UPES, said Professor Sampath was given the honour in recognition of his leadership, development, innovation and industry interface for the UPES.
