Upadhyay inspects EVM strongroom at college

Uttarakhand Congress president Kishore Upadhyay today visited Maharana Pratap Sports College at Raipur in Dehradun and inspected the strongroom, where electronic voting machines (EVMs) have been kept, in the presence of senior administration officials.

Upadhyay expressed satisfaction over the security arrangements at the college for the strongroom. He talked to Chief Electoral Officer Radha Raturi and District Magistrate Ravinath Raman over the phone also urged them for providing basic facilities to security personnel deployed there.

Later, Upadhyay, in an informal interaction told mediapersons that a foolproof security had been provided for the strongroom and he was satisfied with the arrangements.

Senior Congress leaders Rajendra Shah, Garima Dausani and Haji Hasan accompanied Upadhyay.
