Actress Bipasha Basu’s wedding reception to actor beau Karan Singh Grover was a star-studded affair as celebrities like megastar Amitabh Bachchan, along with son Abhishek and daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai, Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan attended the reception and wished the newly-weds. The 37-year-old Raaz actress tied the knot with Karan, 34, last evening in a traditional Bengali wedding ceremony. The nuptials were a private ceremony with only family and a few close friends in attendance. The reception dinner, however, saw who’s who of Bollywood and television industry. Ranbir Kapoor and Sanjay Dutt were also present. Dutt came with wife Manyata and others present included Sonam Kapoor, Sushmita Sen, Tabu, Dia Mirza, director duo Abbas-Mustan, Rohit Shetty, Riteish Deshmukh with wife Genelia, who is pregnant with the couple’s second child, R Madhavan with his better half Sarita, Madhur Bhandarkar, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Neha Dhupia, Karan Kundra along with girlfriend Anusha Dandekar, Bipasha’s ex-boyfriend Dino Morea, Sikander Kher, Kunaal Roy Kapur, Karan’s Dill Mill Gayye producer friend Sidharth Malhotra with wife and Raj Kundra along with sister-in-law Shamita Shetty. Kundra’s actress wife Shilpa Shetty missed the reception due to prior work commitments. Karan’s co-stars from TV shows Dill Mill Gayye and Qubool Hai, Drashti Dhami and Surbhi Jyoti, respectively, were also present at the function. Bipasha looked elegant in a gold sequined lehenga gown, while her groom looked handsome in an ivory tuxedo. The white-themed reception, held in a South Mumbai hotel, saw the couple cut their white-and-pink wedding cake, which had two monkeys made on it as they lovingly address each other as ‘monkey’. — PTI
