Una driver found dead in vehicle

A man’s body was found lying on the driver’s seat of a utility jeep today in Kotla Kalan village near Una city. Investigations revealed that the deceased was 36-year-old Mohan Lal, a resident of Badeher village of Una district.

Superintendent of Police Anupam Sharma said that as per reports, Mohan Lal had taken members of a marriage party from Barnoh to Kotla Kalan in his vehicle on Wednesday night.

While the passengers attended the marriage, the driver decided to rest in the vehicle.

In the morning, Mohan Lal was found dead, said the SP. He added that a window pane of the vehicle had to be broken to bring the body out.

He said a post-mortem examination has been conducted at the district hospital and the body has been handed over to the relatives.
