Ludhiana, December 22

Karamjit Grewal, a teacher at Government High School, Kheri Jhameri, has come up with his new song titled ‘Mehnat’ (hard work).

Talking about the song, he said it was a song for all. “I believe that hard work is the answer to everything. Keep working hard, you will reach somewhere and achieve some milestone in your life,” said the 36-year-old teacher.

Karamjit believes that music has the power to entertain and change one’s mindset, so he is exploiting it to educate his students. He made a song to inspire children to learn Punjabi. He also made a music video ‘Aao Punjabi Sikhiye’ and a song on scouting. The songs are played during breaks in Edusat programme.

He won the Best Teacher Award in 2009 and has also penned eight children’s books. His first book won the Best Children’s Literature Award from Punjabi Sahit Akademi in 2005.

He shot the song in Government Primary School, Lalton Kalan, where he studied in his childhood.
