The Department of Molecular Biology, Biotechnology and Bioinformatics at Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University (HAU) organised a training programme for integrating the molecular and recombinant DNA technologies in the crop-breeding programmes for the food and nutritional security and plant tissue culture here today. SS Siwach, Director of Research, said biotechnology promised great potential in the field of agriculture, increasing the productivity, enhancing the shelf life and the quality of the produce. – TNS
