Traders ask Haryana government for insurance for establishments

KURUKSHETRA: Haryana traders on Sunday asked the state government to restart purchase of crops through commissioning agents and launch free insurance schemes for trading establishments.

Haryana traders on Sunday asked the state government to restart purchase of crops through commissioning agents and launch free insurance schemes for trading establishments.

At a state-level traders event ‘Veopari Sammelan’ at the new grain market, Haryana Veopar Mandal president Bajrang Dass asked Khattar to ensure that the Veopari Kalyan board and social security schemes for traders were appropriately implemented.               

The board’s chairman, Gopal Saran Garg, asked Khattar to issue payments to farmers through commission agents and do away with contract system to lift grains from grain markets.

Finance Minister Capt Abhimanyu, Education Minister Ram Bilas Sharma, Kavita Jain, Karandev Kamboj, Nayab Saini, Subhash Barala, CPS Bakshish Singh and Kamal Gupt were among those who attended the event.
