Muktsar, September 25

Three people from Muktsar died in an accident after some cattle strayed in front of their vehicle in Rajasthan’s Hanumangarh district in the small hours of Sunday. Two people were gravely injured in the accident.

Those who died have been identified as Nitin Teria, son of a former president of Muktsar Municipal Council Shammi Teria; Saurabh Pruthi and Bhushan Gowri.

Saurabh Pathela, cousin of BJP’s Muktsar district president Rajesh Pathela and another person, Manish Khurana — a tea seller at old grain market — were injured in the accident and have been admitted to a hospital in Bathinda.

They were on their way to the Salasar Dham temple. Teria, Pruthi and Gowri were in the vehicle’s backseat, Pathela, who visited the accident site, said.

“Some stray cattle had come before the vehicle, which caused the mishap. They applied the brakes and car overturned in the fields. Saurabh and Manish are out of danger. But the three sitting on the rear seat of the car died instantly.”

Saurabh Pathela’s brother died mysteriously a few years ago. Pathela was married for seven months.
