P’kula police hold quiz on road safety

In order to apprise the public of the traffic rules and road safety issues, the Panchkula police today organised an Inter-School Road Safety Quiz.

As many as 72 schools from the district participated in the competition. The Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), Hamid Akhtar, gave away the certificates to the students.

“Over 485 students took part in the three levels of the quiz. The first level had 20 questions. The second level was to be cleared after five more questions, i.e. 25, and the third level (15 more) was to be cleared after 40 questions,” said the Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP), Jagtar Singh.

Initially, the Panchkula police had booked the Yavnika open theater for the quiz but due to rain, the competition was held at Government School, Sector 7.

Certain school students from Morni could not come because of rain.
