Not every day in Punjabi entertainment industry does one see so many women artistes creating a buzz. If she plays the lead actress in a film, she is either made to slide into designer dresses or, of course, she would be duly playing the love interest. And if she releases a single, you’d listen to it but not play it on repeat. This time, the Punjabi circle revolves around the women in the Punjabi music and film industry who have, literally, forced the audience to sit and take note of them!

The wait is over

The young and versatile Punjabi singer Kaur B takes her recently released track Teri Wait all the way up on the music chart. Written by Narinder Batth the song is directed by Parmesh Verma. With music coming from Desi Crew, Teri Wait, which is presented by Dinesh, is a song based on a girl (Kaur B) waiting for her boyfriend who is invariably always engaged in street fights! The song is peppy, and yes, it has a new Australia-returned hunk, Parmesh Verma, to watch out for.

Jatti’s got swag!

She is hot! Yes, Sonam Bajwa is indeed the hottest (a rarely used adjective in Punjabi industry) actress of Punjabi films, and of course a style icon. Whether it is her sun-kissed look, stylish buns, or her contemporary outfits, this is one jatti who knows how to carry fashion with a lot of oomph. Currently shooting for her next project, Sonam Bajwa won hearts with her recent release Nikka Zaildar. Currently shooting for her next project, Sonam definitely gets thumbs up from the entire industry for her style!

More the merrier

For those who have been waiting to see Neeru Bajwa on screen, you will have to wait till March 2017. Neeru Bajwa has shared the poster of her up and coming film, Jindua, on her facebook account. The film also stars Jimmy Shergill and Sargun Mehta, and is directed by Navaniat Singh. Neeru sure looks beautiful in the poster, which also shows a cute-looking dog. Now, how many times have you seen animals (dogs, we mean) on a Punjabi film poster?
