HPCC cheif Ashok Tanwar began the Kishan Mazdoor Samvad Yatra to meet all sections of society to know their plight during the BJP government here today.

Hundreds of party workers and leaders, including state in-charge Shakeel Ahmed, co-in charge Asha Kumari, former Minister Capt Ajay Yadav, former state secretary Satpal Kaushik, Devender Chawala, Darshan Lal Khera, Raj Kumar Tyagi, Suresh Dhanda and Anil Goyal assembled at INTUC Hall in the morning.

They then marched to Radaur and told people on the way about the failures of the Central and state government. Ahmed, Kumari and Yadav walked up to Damla village.

The first phase of the four-day yatra will cover Yamunanagar, Kurukshetra and Karnal. The yatra will culminate with a kisan mazdoor panchayat at Karnal on June 1.

“Common men, farmers, businessman, employees, youth are fed up with the anti-public policies of the Centre as well as state government, ” said Tanwar.

The law and order situation had deteriorated and 42 farmers had committed suicide, he pointed out.
