Talk on urban housing planning

The Department of Civil Engineering, Jawaharlal Nehru Government Engineering College (JNGEC), organised a workshop on “Urban Infrastructure Development” today. As many as 100 participants from various technical institutions attended the event.

Prof Timothy A Gonsalves, Director, IIT-Mandi, was the chief guest while Prof RL Sharma, Vice-Chancellor, Himanchal Pradesh Technical University, was the guest of honour. Rajeshwar Goel Director, Technical Education, Vocational & Industrial Training, was also present. The workshop was organised under the Technical Education Quality Improvement Programme (TEQIP)-II project. Various aspects related to the urban infrastructure development were discussed. — OC
