A 56-year-old woman from Sector 50 died at the GMCH, Sector 32, today due to swine flu. She was admitted to the hospital on February 23 after being referred from a private hospital in the city. She was earlier being treated for pneumonia and yesterday doctors confirmed that she was suffering from swine flu.

With this, the total number of swine flu cases reported from the tricity has reached 36, including 12 deaths.

On Tuesday, a 61-year-old woman from Yamunanagar died of swine flu at the PGI while a 30-year-old man, a resident of the PGI campus, had tested positive for swine flu.
