Suspended AAP leader and Fatehgarh Sahib MP Harinder Singh Khalsa today alleged that party’s convener Arvind Kejriwal’s coterie was a bunch of scamsters and fraudsters with hardly any ideology for Punjab.

He was here to oppose the setting up of Khalsa University on the premises of Khalsa College and sought the intervention of PM Narendra Modi to scrap the proposal.

He claimed AAP would prove to be worse than the SAD-BJP, if voted to power in 2017. He said AAP preferred power-hungry people having deep pockets while honest volunteers were ignored.

He alleged: “Though the chances are bleak for AAP to get the public mandate, but if they managed to come to power, it will be worst for the people of Punjab. The existing AAP leaders are power hungry and their promise of revolution is a farce.

“We (he and Patiala MP Dharamvira Gandhi) were shunted out when we questioned Kejriwal and his sycophants about their deviated path. Yoginder Yadav was shown the door when he asked for transparency in party’s financial transactions. Dr Daljit Singh of Amritsar too was shown the door as he dared to question people with dubious character in the party.”
