Sukhbir’s personal assistant is SAD’s Lambi circle chief

Shiromani Akali Dal chief-cum-Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal has appointed his personal assistant (PA) Avtar Singh Vanwala as circle president of Lambi. Notably, Lambi is the home constituency of Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal.

Avtar is associated with the Shiromani Akali Dal for last two decades. The Chief Minister too had recently praised him during his Sangat Darshan programmes.

The Shiromani Akali Dal has also re-appointed Manjinder Singh ‘Bittu’, son of Akal Takht chief Giani Gurbachan Singh, as Muktsar rural circle president. Bittu is the president of Market Committee, Bariwala.

Kulwinder Singh ‘Kaka’, chairman, PUNCOFED, has been appointed as secretary general of the Shiromani Akali Dal’s district unit.

Gurbakhshish Singh Middukhera “Vicky”, elder brother of Tejinder Singh Middukhera, Director, Markfed, has been appointed general secretary of the party’s district unit. Gurbakhshish is the chairman of the Lambi block samiti.

Nishan Singh Sandhu, vice-chairman, Markfed, Punjab, has been appointed as SAD’s district vice-president.

Basant Singh Kang, chairman, Market Committee, Malout, has been appointed party’s Malout rural circle president. Ram Singh Aarewala, president, Municipal Council, Malout, has been appointed party’s Malout urban circle president.

Dyal Singh Kolianwali, district president, Shiromani Akali Dal, said, “As many as 132 office-bearers of the district party unit have been announced, which include 10 circle presidents.”
