Suit filed over ‘Jabra’ song

A class action suit was filed in a district consumer court today for not showing Jabra song in recently released Shahrukh Khan starrer movie — Fan.

The complaint was filed by Sangeeta Chandgothia against PVR Cinemas (Elante Mall), Yash Raj Films Private Limited and Shahrukh Khan. It was alleged in the complaint that though the whole film promotion had Jabra song as title song but it was not there in the film.

It was further said the complainant went to watch the movie paying Rs 650 each for four family members but they were disappointed as the song was not in the movie. A compensation of Rs 19 lakh was sought and to be deposited in the welfare fund of the consumer court.

Besides, she sought return of ticket amount of Rs 2,600 and compensation of Rs 50 thousand for mental torture and harassment for unfair practices. The case will be taken up on April 22.
