Shimla, January 12

The Himachal Pradesh State Administrative Tribunal has quashed and set aside the transfer order of Mahima Lakhanpal, Principal, Government Girls School, Bilaspur.

A Division Bench comprising Judicial Member DK Sharma and Administrative Member Harinder Hira passed this judgment on a petition filed by Mahima Lakhanpal alleging that she had been ordered to be transferred just on the instructions of local MLA Bambar Thakur.

It was also alleged that the Local MLA had got the personal interest in getting the petitioner shifted to some other place, just to harass and victimizse her. It was also alleged in the petition that as per this order she had been transferred from Local Government Girls School, Bilaspur to Government Girls School, Bardin (Bilaspur). It was also alleged that the manner in which she had been transferred on the basis of the recommendation of the MLA was unsustainable and deserved to be quashed and set aside.
