Social worker honoured

Union Minister Dr Najma Heptulla conferred the Bharat Nirman Award 2016 on Anurag Chauhan, founder of NGO Humans For Humanity, for entrepreneurship and excellence in social work at the India International Centre, New Delhi, on July 23.

Bharat Nirman Awards was established in 1980 to honour those who have excelled in their sphere of activities and career.

Anurag Chauhan is a young social entrepreneur and social activist who has modest aspirations to help usher realistic social change. He is currently pursuing Bachelors in Social Work at Amity University, Noida, and continues to follow his passion through both, his higher education as well as the NGO.

“I am delighted to receive this award and I am encouraged to do more for the society. It has been two years since I moved to Delhi, so it is, indeed, a moment of jubilation for me to be recognised in the National Capital”, said Anurag.
