Smriti asks doctors, lawyers to devote one day a month for poor

Union Minister for Human Resources Smriti Irani on Sunday visited Sriganganagar to address a brain-storming session as part of the celebrations for two years of Modi governance.

People were asked to occupy their seats at Rajvansh Palace by 10 am. However, Smriti was received by BJP activists at the Lalgarh air station at 10.30 am and reached the venue at 11 am. Smriti finished her speech in 12 minutes and three minutes’ time was left for Rajasthan BJP president Ashok Parnami to pack up the dialogue session. She asked doctors, lawyers, chartered accountants to fix at least a day in each month to help poor and needy persons.

Later, Smriti addressed a gathering of about 5,000 party activists and launched some schemes for the welfare of women. She appreciated the Rajasthan government for taking a lead in implementing Modi government’s welfare plans effectively and asked party workers to enlighten people about achievements of the Union Government.
