Reacting to cricketer-turned-politician Navjot Singh Sidhu’s move of joining the Congress, AAP leader Harvinder Singh Phoolka said: “It is no secret that AAP had offered the seat of Deputy CM to Sidhu. But his aspiration grew bigger. Perhaps Sidhu was offered a bigger post in the Congress, which is yet to name its CM candidate.”
“Sidhu used to call the Congress a killer party and its leaders as Munni and Sheela. On what moral grounds he will seek votes from people. Sidhu will have to answer as to how a killer party turned pious overnight,” said Phoolka.
Taking on Amarinder’s move to contest from Lambi, Phoolka alleged he was not fighting against CM Parkash Singh Badal, but to ensure the latter’s win. “It is a move to stop our candidate Jarnail Singh from winning. He is enjoying huge support and we are confident that Jarnail will defeat Badal and Captain with a huge margin,” claimed Phoolka.
