Sidhu accused of violating code

Congress candidate Navjot Singh Sidhu allegedly violated the model code of conduct as he took his private car inside the premises of a polling booth.

Sidhu, along with wife Dr Navjot Kaur Sidhu and son Karan Sidhu, reached Mata Saroop Rani College in three luxury cars around 11.50 am. It is learnt that the vehicles were intercepted at the gate by the paramilitary forces, but later allowed to enter.

A complaint has been submitted with Deputy Commissioner-cum-Electoral Officer Basant Garg. The matter is being probed. Sidhu could not be contacted.
