The payment process of various departments in the office of Deputy Commissioner, Shimla, will be made cashless. This was stated by Deputy Commissioner, Shimla, Rohan Chand Thakur at a meeting to discuss digital payments.

He said the cashless system would be in place at the Sugum centres.

The Deputy Commissioner said 10 panchayats would be identified and the process of cashless payments would be initiated in those areas through banks. He also directed banks to start awareness programmes to apprise the public of the benefits of cashless transactions and the process involved.
