School organises grandparents’ day

In order to felicitate and honour the grandparents, Jammu Sanskriti School, Jammu, organised grandparents’ day and graduation ceremony at Government College for Women (GCW) Gandhi Nagar auditorium here today.

Sonu Pargal, Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM), South, was the chief guest, while Rafiq Ahmed, Bishnah tehsildar, was the guest of honour. The programme began with the lighting of lamp followed by Sararswati Vandana by tiny tots.

Nidhi Kohli, pre-primary coordinator, presented the annual report highlighting the achievements made by the students. Certificates of graduation were distributed by the dignitaries.

Wing Commander Prithpal Singh (retd), a grandparent, shared his views about the experience of their grandchild in the school. A number of activities like skit, dances and songs were presented to mark the occasion. — TNS
