Kurukshetra MP Rajkumar Saini today advised the Jat leaders to learn from the Gujarat incident and not repeat the same situation in the state.

Talking to the media at his residence, Saini said, “Instead of struggling for the development of the country, people are fighting to prove they are backward. If the Jats try to get their rights while still abiding by the law, we have no problem, but they have been threatening to seal Delhi and Haryana to get reservation. This is unfortunate.”

He said, “The Jat leaders had pressured our national leadership to get the review petition filed, following which there was resentment among the people of the Other Backward Classes (OBC). Had the Supreme Court given the verdict against the OBC and had we tried to do the same thing, we would have been jailed. The Jat leaders should be booked for the contempt of court.”

“I want to clarify that I am not speaking against the Jat community on the directions of the Prime Minister or Chief Minister. The Jats talk only about their caste only, but I am raising the voice of a class,” said the MP.

Saini said the Jats were forcefully trying to get reservation under the OBC category and had been pressuring the Centre. But the OBC brigade will make sure the Jats didn’t succeed in their attempt.

“Over three lakh persons have joined the brigade so far. A rally of the OBC brigade will be organised in Hisar on September 20 to chalk out a strategy in this regard,” the MP added.
