Gidderbaha, March 15

SAD chief-cum-former Deputy CM Sukhbir Singh Badal today told party workers to ask the Congress to fulfil their electoral promises of giving free smart phones, a job to each household and debt waiver to farmers.

In Gidderbaha, Sukhbir ridiculed AAP national convener Arvind Kejriwal for claiming that the EVMs had been tampered with.

To boost the morale of party workers after the SAD-BJP alliance’s defeat, Sukhbir is now touring all constituencies.

Abohar: Trying to “console” party workers over the defeat in the Balluana constituency, he said: “Perhaps we delivered too much to people that could not digest the abundance of development. They will realise soon that they should not have voted for the Congress. Those who deserted the Akali Dal will also repent.”

He assured workers that they would be protected against atrocities which “might be committed by Congress leaders”.
