Russian organisation woos MBBS aspirants

SRINAGAR: The RUS Education, an organisation authorised by the Russian Centre for Science and Culture of the Russian Embassy, has opened its office here to facilitate admission for MBBS courses in Russia for aspirants from Jammu and Kashmir.

The RUS Education, an organisation authorised by the Russian Centre for Science and Culture of the Russian Embassy, has opened its office here to facilitate admission for MBBS courses in Russia for aspirants from Jammu and Kashmir.

“We will facilitate admission in various medical colleges in Russia,” said Dr Dinesh Singla, director of Education Abroad, a unit of RUS Education. He said fee for MBBS courses ranged from Rs 9 lakh to Rs 25 lakh in Russia. “Experience of 25 years and a team of experts from India and Russia make it possible for us to help students in choosing the most suitable universities,” he said.

He said, “We will come up with an Education Abroad unit soon to provide students the opportunities to choose as per their needs.”

He said Russian colleges had offered subsidised packages for students and would provide 50 seats free for students with academic excellence. Leena Burman, head of the education department at the Russian Centre for Science and Culture, said 1,200 students would be provided admission in Russia for MBBS courses.
