Ritik, Neha, Falguni Class XII toppers

DHARAMSALA: Ritik Kandoria from CRC Government Senior Secondary School, Rehan, in Kangra district, topped the Class XII science examination, the results of which were declared by the Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education (HPBSE) here today.

Ritik Kandoria from CRC Government Senior Secondary School, Rehan, in Kangra district, topped the Class XII science examination, the results of which were declared by the Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education (HPBSE) here today. He scored 98.4 per cent marks. Friends and relatives gathered at his house to congratulate him on the achievement.

The second position was bagged by Nikhil Kumar from Gurukul Public Senior Secondary School, Hamirpur scoring 97.80 per cent marks, while Peeyush Thakur from Little Angle Mehre, Hamirpur, Amol Sharma from King Gorge Royal Public School, Nerchowk in Mandi district, and Ashish Bains from Kid Buds Public Senior Secondary School, Panga in Hamirpur, jointly secured the third position with 97.4 per cent marks.

In arts stream, Neha from Government Senior Secondary School, Darang in Mandi, topped the stream by scoring 95.2 per cent marks, while second position was bagged by Bushra of Government Girls Senior Secondary School, Nahan, who scored 95 per cent marks. The third position was jointly bagged by Sikshita Sharma from Government Senior Secondary School, Galanaghat in Hamirpur, and Sapna from Government Girls Senior Secondary School, Theog in Shimla district, by scoring 94.2 per cent marks.

In the commerce stream, Falguni Aggarwal from Career Academy Senior Secondary School, Nahan, topped by scoring 96.8 per cent marks. The second position was bagged by Priya Saini from DAV Senior Secondary School, Una, who scored 95.8 per cent marks and the third position was jointly bagged by Naman, Adarsh Vidaya Niketan Public Senior Secondary School, Nahan, and Nandini Bansal from Career Academy Senior Secondary School, Nahan, who scored 94.8 per cent marks.

Chairman of the HPBSE Balbir Tegta said 1,02,075 students appeared in the Class XII exam out of which 73,948 had passed. The overall pass percentage has remained 72.89 per cent.
