Rayat-Bahra VC awarded at World Education Summit

Vice-Chancellor (VC) of Rayat Bahra University Dr Raj Singh was felicitated at the Elets 7th World Education Summit held in New Delhi. He was conferred with the special ‘Higher Education Leadership Award’ for his exemplary role in the field of higher education.

A renowned educationist of the country, Dr Raj Singh was earlier the first Vice-Chancellor of the GD Goenka University, Gurgaon, Ansal University, Gurgaon, and Amity University, Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh.

Dr Raj Singh was also a key speaker of the higher education session. He shared his vision on higher education scenario in the country. Speaking on the occasion, Dr Singh stressed the need of inter-disciplinary facilities, research promotion and international exposure to students apart from scientific and technological advancements to improve quality of education.

The World Education Summit was organised to create a global knowledge-sharing platform for thought leaders, policy makers, education leaders and industry leaders to discuss various aspects of imparting quality education. The aim of this conference was to initiate change in the entire education system. The ‘7th World Education Summit 2016’ was supported by Digital Learning, Asia’s premier magazine on the ICT for Education.

The two-day conference had dedicated and vibrant sessions on higher education, school education, technical education and skill education.
