Rapid development under Congress govt: Agnihotri

The state government is promoting social and cultural activities in a big way along with development activities so as to ensure overall development of the state, said Industries Minister Mukesh Agnihotri after inaugurating the Himachali cultural evening at the international trade fair being organized at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, today.

Agnihotri said that Himachal Pradesh had achieved various development milestones in the last four years in most of the sectors. Recently, the state was awarded the best in the country in the field of education and inclusive development in the Big States category which itself speaks about the development carried out by the present Congress government.

The minister said the state had taken various initiatives and incentives were being offered to attract entrepreneurs. The government had also simplified the procedures and approval of projects was being given in a fixed time frame which had shown positive results.

He visited the stalls of Himachal and evinced keen interest in exhibitions. He specially appreciated the exhibition of e-Vidhan Sabha in the fair and said that this unique initiative of the state government had helped in saving Rs 15 crore annually. He said so far representatives of 22 states have visited the state Assembly and have shown their keenness to adopt this model. — TNS
