With the weather showing no signs of improvement, rail traffic in the region continues to be erratic causing inconvenience to the commuters.

The Railways announced the cancellation of four trains for the day, while nearly 12 mail and express trains were running late.

It was officially announced that 12054 Amritsar-Haridwar Janshatabdi Express, 12237 Varanasi-Jammu Begumpura Express, 12332 Amritsar-Howrah Himgiri Express and 15212 Amritsar-Darbhanga Jannayak Express trains would remain cancelled for the day.

Railway officials said a pair of 14681-82 New Delhi-Jalandhar-New Delhi Intercity Express train, which was having a curtailed run between New Delhi and Ambala Cantt for the past more than two weeks, would continue on its truncated run till further orders.

The trains running behind the schedule included - 12332 Jammu-Howrah Himgiri Express (16.32 hrs), 13005 Howrah-Amritsar Mail (8.50 hrs), 12317 Kolkata-Amritsar Akaltakht Express (6.55 hrs), 12491 Barauni-Jammu Maur Dhwaj Express (6.50 hrs), 15707 Katihar-Amritsar Amrapali Express (5.05 hrs), 18237 Bilaspur-Amritsar Chhattisgarh Express (4.30 hrs), 18101 Tatanagar-Jammu Express (4.10 hrs), 13006 Amritsar Howrah Mail (3.05 hrs), 12919 Indore-Jammu Malwa Express (2.35 hrs), 82651 Yeswantpur-Katra (2.15 hrs) and 12237 Varanasi-Jammu Begumpura Express (2.10 hrs).
