Punjabi video director held for stealing film producer’s car

CHANDIGARH:The UT police today arrested a Punjabi video director for allegedly stealing the Fortuner car of a Punjabi film producer from its Sector 17 office.

The UT police today arrested a Punjabi video director for allegedly stealing the Fortuner car of a Punjabi film producer from its Sector 17 office.

The police said Manmord Sidhu of White Hill Production complained that video director Nishant Sharma came to his office yesterday and took away the keys of his car. Sharma later took it to Panthankot, where he allegedly changed the Chandigarh registration number of the car to that of Mohali.

The police have also got the CCTV footage of the incident. The police arrested him today from the city. White Hill Production has produced hit films like “Punjab 1984” and “Jatt & Juliet”.

“We are questioning the accused to find out how he managed to change the registration number, and if any other person was involved,” said a police official.
