PSEB declares Class 12 results

MOHALI: Girls took the top three spots in Class 12 examinations of the Punjab State Education Board, results of which were declared on Friday morning. Two of the top three were from Ludhiana.

Girls took the top three spots in Class 12 examinations of the Punjab State Education Board, results of which were declared on Friday morning.

Two of the top three were from Ludhiana.

Mahima Nagpal, a student of RS Model Senior Secondary School, Ludhiana, came first with 99.56 per cent marks. Komal Rani, a student of Government Model Senior Secondary School, Patiala, came second with 99.33 per cent marks while Rhea of RS Model Senior Secondary School, Ludhiana, took the third spot with 98.67 per cent marks.

Mahima is the daughter of a scrap dealer. Her father is physically unfit and could not afford to pay for tuitions.

Rhea, who came third, lost her father when she was 3, leaving her mother to bring her and her brother up.

Daughter of an accountant, Komal plans to take up a BTech course at a good institute. Her older brother is already pursuing BTech at Thapar University.
