Prepare assessment report of whitefly-hit farmers: DC

Jind Deputy Commissioner Ajit Balaji Joshi yesterday directed all officials of the Agriculture Department to accelerate the process of ongoing assessment of whitefly affected cotton farmers in the district.

The DC was presiding over a district-level meeting of all department officers.

He directed officials of the revenue and agriculture department to prepare the factual assessment report of whitefly-affected farmers at the earliest so that farmers could get required compensation. He also warned the officials with strict departmental action if any laxity was found on the part of the officer.

He directed the Pension Department and bank officials to upload details of all pensioners online. —TNS
