Power appliances company to develop CM’s native village

Power appliances manufacturing company Su Kam has adopted Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar’s native village Baniyani in Rohtak. Today, the company initiated a campaign for systematic development of the village under the public-private partnership model.

Su Kam MD Kunwar Sachdev visited the village along with his team to look into the possibilities of progress.

Rohtak DC Shekhar Vidyarthi, ADC Amit Khatri, SDM Dr Sushil Kumar Malik and other administrative and revenue officials accompanied the team.

Government and company officials interacted with villagers to know their requirements and chalk out a course of action. The company also videographed the village.

Sachdev indicated that in the first phase, they would provide facilities required at the government school in the village. The provision of streetlights at the village was also on the priority list.

Vidyarthi said, as announced by the Chief Minister, the Department of Public Health Engineering had sanctioned Rs 2 crore for various development works in the village.

“With this amount, a 2,500-m water pipeline would be laid in the village, apart from the installation of an inlet channel, a booster and an RO system,” he added.
