Savi Sharma was on her way to become a chartered accountant when two weeks of anxious waiting for the results turned her into a reader. Having read 12 books in 10 days, she decided to write one of her own! And it took her four years to complete.

While she got great reviews from her friends, she thought it lacked heart and soul. So she penned another and confident this time, she self-published Everyone Has a Story.

Setting up her account on Amazon, she marketed it through Facebook and 100 copies were sold; publishers reached her to get it republished and she partnered with Westland Ltd. Selling 100,000 copies in just 100 days, Savi became India’s fastest-selling debut author! Enthused, she is out with her second book called This Is Not Your Story.

“While my first one was about inspiration, second is about being compelled to take a step ahead towards a new journey,” says Savi after her book was released in Chandigarh. Initial response to the book is welcoming and that’s what Savi aimed at.

“I am a storyteller, but I also want to bring change in people’s lives. If my stories motivate and help people turn a new leaf, I feel vindicated.”

A voracious reader, this Surat-based girl has been a follower of Paulo Coehlo, Robin Sharma and the likes; so she believes in the power of attracting positivity.

“Writing is one thing, finding readers for your story another,” says the girl, who totally believes in the power of marketing.

For her second book, she has an elaborate 27-city tour planned; something that she is loving at the moment, her only passions being reading travelling and trying various cuisines.

“Storyteller I am for the rest of my life,” says the girl, who is open to all mediums whether it is books, television or films.
