A police officer was on Wednesday killed in North Kashmir's Bandipore gunfight.

A squad of the Special Operations Group of the state police was fired upon by militants in Dachina village in Bandipora district today afternoon.

Police said the squad had gone to the village after receiving inputs that Apu Qasim, the mastermind of the August 5 Udhampur terror attack, was hiding in the village.
