Chandigarh, May 26

PPCC president Capt Amarinder Singh today said the greatest achievement during the past two years of the Modi regime was that CM Parkash Singh Badal had been ‘shown his place.’

Badal now realises that the Congress-led UPA was actually the well-wisher of Punjab and not the BJP. “Moreover, two years have passed since Finance Minister Arun Jaitely took over we are yet to receive the first installment of money that Badal had promised to Punjabis”, Amarinder said in a statement.

He said: “Rather, Punjab has not even been getting the cash credit limit in time for payment to the farmers. Every time you knocked at Dr Manmohan Singh’s door you were granted whatever you sought. Compare those days with that of Modi, who is not even ready to meet you.” — TNS
