App Name: Fotor

OS: iOS, Android

Features: This flexible and versatile app lets the users edit images, make collages and share these. One can get to see the masterpieces created by other photographers as well. The latest version of this app has the ‘focus’ feature which translates into greater depth and clarity in the pictures.

Pros/Cons: High-definition finish can be achieved using the focus feature of the app. The sharing options are pretty comprehensive, and one can share the pictures through Instagram, Facebook, WhatsApp, Twitter, Flickr, WeChat, SMS, email or printed postcards.

App Name: Lifecake

Features: Lifecake is a wonderful app for the parents who want to save and organise kids’ growing up years. One can keep creating lovely memories and can easily share them with family and friends. 

It is marketed as the ‘time machine of your child’s life’. 

Pros/Cons: The app is free from extra advertisements and noise. Users can skip to select stages and compare different dates. Printed album can be ordered through this app too. A great way for recording events in life.

the pictures. One can easily edit the images with tools that

Pros/Cons: The app was designed to make the steps — taking pictures, editing and sharing — fastest possible.

Features: One can become a part of the photographers community using this app. Users can create VSCO journal to join in the community and find inspiration from other users. One feature which stands out the most is the before and after comparison of the edits. 

Pros/Cons: A perfect combination of picture-taking, photo-editing, and online sharing in a snazzy package. The app boasts of around 15 editing tools. Interface could be more friendly though.

OS: Android

Features: Simple user interface and powerful enhancement tools are the highlight of this android exclusive photo app. Smart processing support helps the users to take visibly sharp photos and in cutting and trimming stages of editing. 'Shoot the past' feature is to record hard to capture moments before the actual event which gets enough footage anyway. Shoot the past essentially creates a buffer of images that allows you to go back a few seconds before the shot to find the “perfect” photo.  Camera MX has an option that renders effects in real time with both still shots and video.

Pros/Cons: Shoot the past — is quite a unique feature. App works in any light condition and flash settings.
