Haridwar, October 23

Baba Ramdev’s Patanjali Ayurveda launched its much-awaited instant noodles in Uttarakhand today.

This is the maiden launch of the noodle variant eyed to catch up the vacant space left by the ban on Nestle Maggi noodles.

Maggi noodles, which were being sold by Swiss giant Nestle with a catchline of “two-minute” noodles, had to be taken off the shelves after food regulator FSSAI found excess lead and taste enhancer MSG.

A special yajna was performed yesterday while the supply of Atta noodles consignment was sent to Patanjali Yogpeeth distributors and retailers across the state today.

Launching Patanjali Atta Noodles at Patanjali Yogpeeth, 15 km from Haridwar city, Acharya Balkrishna, Vice Chancellor of Patanjali Ayurvedic University, said the noodles had been launched in Uttarakhand in the first phase while other states would be covered in the second phase.

He said it was a matter of pride for all Indians that a desi version, which is nutritious and devoid of any lead, MSG or other harmful ingredients, was in the market in a short span of time.

“We make products keeping in mind the health of people. We do not adhere to any type of ingredients or material that impacts the health or even taste buds in a negative way. Atta noodles is very nutritious and has varied ayurvedic ingredients that will make one healthier,” he said.

He said in the coming weeks, after supplying the Patanjali Atta Noodles across 13 districts of Uttarakhand, Patanjali Ayurveda would make it available to other states.
