Gujarat-based Akhil Bharatiya Goraksha Kranti Sena activists today held a protest against Swami Ramdev and security personnel of Patanjali Yogpeeth, for allegedly ‘misbehaving’ with sena activists at Patanjali yesterday.

Sant Gopal Das of the Goraksha Sena said they had filed a report at Bahadrabad police station against 200 security personnel and activists of Patanjali Yogpeeth, Phase I, who had attacked their bus.

He said the Goraksha Sena activists had gone to Patanjlai to apprise Ramdev about the death of their activist Gabru Singh in Rajkot, Gujarat. The activist had died while saving one of the Gorakha sena man, who tried to consume poison against the Gujarat government’s reluctance to impose ban on cow slaughter.

“We were stopped by Patanjali security guards and later by employees of the company. We apprised them of our objective and social cause, but they did not allow us to enter the factory premises. Instead, they pounded on our bus and misbehaved with us. Jitendra Malik, Vihab Bhai along with a couple of other activists were injured in the incident. Our peaceful delegation was allegedly attacked by Ramdev employees. We feel hurt and this exposed the corporate working of Ramdev,” said Sant Gopal Das.

Goraksha Sena activists also staged a protest from Har-ki-Pauri to Upper road and later held a press conference, accusing Ramdev and Acharya Balkrishna of keeping silent and siding with the errant security employees.

Meanwhile, the Patanjali has denied the allegations of the Goraksha Sena. Patanjali in its reply said some Goraksha Sena activists forcibly tried to enter the premises but security personnel stopped them.

SHO Bahadrabad police station Pradeep Bisht said the Goraksha Sena had withdrawn its complaint against Patanjali Yogpeeth security employees.
