Park Plaza seeks action against 21 persons

CHANDIGARH: Hotel Park Plaza, which owed over Rs 103 crore to three banks and whose possession was taken over recently, has moved to a local court, seeking action against 21 persons, including bank managers and BJP leaders for allegedly harassing, vandalising property and preparations made for causing death, among other things.

Hotel Park Plaza, which owed over Rs 103 crore to three banks and whose possession was taken over recently, has moved to a local court, seeking action against 21 persons, including bank managers and BJP leaders for allegedly harassing, vandalising property and preparations made for causing death, among other things.

In a complaint filed with Chief Judicial Magistrate Akshdeep Mahajan by Amit Julka, Director, James Hotel Limited, it was alleged that no copy of the official order regarding taking over the premises was ever supplied despite specific applications and requests made in this regard. It was further stated that no inventory of articles/properties taken into possession was prepared. Also, no inventory of person/staff, guests, was prepared.

It was alleged that illegal entry was made on the premises by using force. They allegedly misbehaved, abused and threatened some staff members. Sachin Sharma, manager, was slapped and pushed back forcibly.

The complaint has been filed under Sections 147, 149, 323, 342, 352, 379, 380, 382, 395, 403, 427, 452, 504, 506, 510 and 120-B of the IPC. The court had adjoined the matter to December 21 for recording of statement of the complaint.
