Dehradun, March 28

Uttarakhand Kranti Dal leader Trivendra Singh Panwar has expressed strong resentment over induction of former minister and expelled UKD leader Diwakar Bhatt back into the UKD fold.

Addressing a press conference in Dehradun today, Panwar said the party leaders who are behind induction of Diwakar Bhatt in UKD should have taken him or party president Kashi Singh Airy into confidence before inducting Diwakar Bhatt.

He said during the time of unification of the two UKD factions a few weeks back, it was decided that any leader expelled earlier will be inducted in the party only after both the factions give their consent. “But in case of Diwakar Bhatt, neither mine nor Kashi Singh Airy’s consent has been taken,” Panwar went on to point out.

Panwar said Diwakar Bhatt had a history of hobnobbing with both BJP and Congress and had always worked against the interest of the state. Panwar also announced that Gurmel Singh, who has already filed his nomination, will be the UKD candidate for Bhagwanpur bypoll. UKD media in-charge Manmohan Lakhera was also present at the press conference.
