One held with 6-kg narcotics

The Government Railway Police (GRP) nabbed a man on the charge of drug peddling with 6-kg ganja. The accused has been identified as Beeru Pansari, a native of Jharkhand. He was on the way to supply the narcotics to his clients. Makhan Singh, DSP (GRP), said a GRP team was conducting a routine patrolling at the city railway station and the accused was stopped for checking on suspicion. Narcotics were found with the accused on checking his belongings. A case under the NDPS Act has been registered against the accused.

Three booked in kidnapping case

The police have booked two women and one unknown person on the charge of kidnapping and criminal conspiracy. The accused has been identified as Priyanka and Rakhi. Complainant Ram Parkash of Krishana Nagar told the police that her minor daughter had gone missing from home on February 19. He accused Priyanka, Rakhi and one other unknown person of kidnapping his daughter. A case under Sections 363, 366A and 120B of the IPC was registered.

HP man held for snatching mobile

The police have arrested a man of Himachal Pradesh allegedly for snatching a mobile phone. The accused has been identified as Nihal Singh. Complainant Veeru of Bharti colony told the police that the accused had snatched a mobile phone, Rs 19,000 and some important documents from him. The police have recovered Rs 4,000 from the accused. A case under Section 379B of the IPC was registered against him.

Scribe attacked, 1 booked

The police have booked an unknown person on the charge of attacking a journalist of a TV news channel. Complainant Munish of Sarabha Nagar told the police that he was thrashed by a car-borne person at the Fountain chowk on February 22. He said the accused also snatched his digital camera.
