National Conference patron and former J&K Chief Minister Dr Farooq Abdullah paid obeisance at the Golden Temple in Amritsar on Saturday.

Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee chief secretary Harcharan Singh felicitated him with a siropa and a set of Sikh books.

Abdullah accused the Modi government of ignoring Kashmir's interests, adding that no progress had been witnessed in the country in the two-year NDA rule.

He apologised for taking a phone call while the National Anthem was being played after West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee’s swearing-in in Kolkata on Friday.
