Oak Grove School wins painting contest

MUSSOORIE: Oak Grove School was declared the overall winner of the 28th Master Naveen Sharma Memorial Painting Competition held at Gandhi Niwas Society in Mussoorie today.

Oak Grove School was declared the overall winner of the 28th Master Naveen Sharma Memorial Painting Competition held at Gandhi Niwas Society in Mussoorie today. The competition was held in three categories, namely junior, inter and junior divisions. It was based on the theme “Swach Bharat Abhiyan” for the junior division, world peace for the inter division and the Rio Olympics for the senior division. Tejaswani from Oak Grove School was declared the winner in the junior division while Nandini from Vidya Mandir stood second and Rohit from St Lawrence School was adjudged third. Tenzing Norlin from Central School for Tibetan was awarded a consolation prize.

In the inter division, Ankit from Oak Grove School stood first, Kanishka Negi second while Akansha from Sanatan Dharm School came third. Uttam Kumar from Oak Grove School won the consolation prize. In the senior division, Tathagat from Oak Grove School was declared first, Rinzen form CST second, while Rishika Agarwal from Waverly Convent School was adjudged third. Sania Nayak from Wynberg Allen School was awarded the consolation prize. Journalist Shoorvir Bhandari gave away citations and awards to the winners.

Sanjay Dhaundiyal, Aman Deep and Rajiv Goyal were the judges.
